What happens after paying?
Within 24 hours of receiving your payment, you will receive a link to book your Zoom call, along with a super short form asking a few questions to help maximize our time together. If you can't find a spot on my calendar, you can easily email me with your availability so we can work something out.
What if I want you as my coach after? Can I roll this fee into the coaching cost?
Yes! I love having a conversation where we connect so well that you're inspired and driven to get to work on your book as soon as possible. If you want to choose to "ease in" or "jump in" or go "all in" with coaching, the cost of this call will roll into the fee for your chosen coaching service. Woohoo! (This only applies if you choose 1-on-1 coaching within 7 days of your Idea Validation + Brainstorm session.)
What if I need to reschedule?
Easily email me so that we can find a better date and time for you. Or use the reschedule link in your meeting confirmation email. Please note that after two [2] cancellations, a $20 rescheduling fee will apply.
I'm scared you'll tell me my writing sucks.
I see your fear, and you are not alone. Look. I won’t deny there is a possibility that something needs improvement. I’m not going to be your Yes-Woman. However, it’s unlikely I will tell you something sucks. It’s not really in my language. I see things that need to be changed or improved. That said, you are not your book. You are not your project. You are not your business. No matter the genius idea (or not so genius idea) that’s residing inside your brain, you and your ability to change and improve things are boundless.

Hi! I'm Samantha Bagood — a story coach, writing mentor, and publishing consultant. I spent the last decade working in children's book publishing. I launched my career at Adams Literary, where I worked with award-winning and New York Times Bestselling authors and negotiated 5- and 6-figure book deals with major publishers like Penguin Random House and Macmillan, before leaving to run my own literary agency for three years.

2020 changed things, and I now serve as a catalyst for purpose-driven creatives, especially BIWOC. I equip them with the skills, strategy, and community they need to create fiction and creative non-fiction work that resonates and sells in their market.
